september 2005, the book In the tracks of the panther, in which author
Griselda Molemans documents her search for the African ancestor of
her Dutch-Indonesian family, was published by Balans Publishers in

As an homage to the oldest generation of descendants of ‘Black Dutchmen’, photographer Armando Ello and journalist Griselda Molemans will publish the photobook ‘ Black skin, loyal to the Dutch flag’ in the fall of 2008 (KIT Publishers, Amsterdam). The
book will comprise portraits and life stories of descendants of
African soldiers, based in The Netherlands, US, Canada, Brazil,
Indonesia and Ghana. |
