The Naaba Yambaga Foundation is happy to announce that the Naaba Yambaga elementary school has officially been opened in the village of Omsoum on September 19, 2008.

While the board is currently raising funds for the construction of a kitchen, a small infirmary, extra privies, a well and a school garden, a heartfelt 'thank you' goes out to our sponsors:

The foundation also received a subsidy of Impulsis, formed by Dutch collaborating parties Edukans, ICCO and Kerkinactie. In order to collect the remaining amount, the 'Adopt-A-Brick!'-campaign will be continued.

Chairwoman Griselda Molemans will give a series of lectures on her book In the tracks of the panther in 2009. The book documents the discovery of the African ancestor of the Molemans family whose real name was Naaba Yambaga.
